Understand what is really happening: what occurs, where it appears, how it behaves, and which changes in production, material, or machine may be related.

Transverse unbonded blisters in the center of the single-face web
From a visible symptom to a defensible mechanical cause.
At the single facer, transverse blisters without bonding appear between the liner and the fluting, concentrated in the center of the web. The participant must avoid compensating with more pressure, heat, or adhesive and use evidence to identify why contact is being lost in that zone.

Adhesive application is uniform, the paper moisture profile does not reproduce the defect, and hydraulic pressure remains within the machine setpoint.
The contact impression is weaker in the center, and mechanical inspection confirms wear on the corrugating rolls in the same transverse zone.
Check profile, alignment, and runout; repair, regrind, or replace within tolerance. Confirm a uniform center-to-edge impression and the disappearance of the blisters.
The diagnosis: corrugating-roll wear reduces effective contact, pressure, and heat transfer in the center. INSCO measures how the participant reaches and verifies that conclusion.
